At the University of South Dakota, I manage the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs' first-ever social media presence, deciding to use Instagram and LinkedIn to reach our target audience. My content strategy highlights student and faculty research progress and achievements, promoting grant opportunities, and sharing valuable resources to support academic interests. I collaborate with other departments across campus to boost reach and display the variety of research that is done. My efforts help bring awareness to research, showing its real-world impact and encouraging broader participation. Additionally, I played a role in helping to plan the university’s inaugural Research Week, a collaborative event designed to complement the long-standing IdeaFest, bringing new energy and visibility to research across campus.
